Two months before the start of the Vendée Globe on November 8th, the best skippers registered for the solo round-the-world race will moor in the heart of Lorient La Base for 5 days of competition starting from Lorient and finishing around the island of Groix. The 10th edition of the Défi Azimut promises to be awe-inspiring by the number of registrants, the presence of the best sailors in the world, the formidable technological showcase it represents, and the enticing program onshore to promote the local nautical sector. An explosive cocktail to celebrate the 10th anniversary of this event that has become a must on the ocean racing calendar!
Best races always arise from great friendships. From a five-boat regatta, launched in 2011 by Jean-Marie Corteville, Azimut CEO, at the request of offshore racers, the Défi Azimut has become a unique event, a meeting that skippers can’t wait attending. Why ? Because all the essential elements are gathered.
