PRB becomes Holcim-PRB
On Monday 22 August at Lorient La Base, Kévin Escoffier and his team unveiled the new livery on their IMOCA: making the switch to yellow and green hues and the circular economy!
The Verdier design built in Hampshire, England and launched in early May in the familiar orange hues of PRB, is switching tone in more ways than one. Indeed, since the Vendée-based company PRB was bought out by the Swiss cement manufacturer Holcim back in the spring, the monohull skippered by the 42-year-old sailor from Saint Malo now sports a yellow and green livery and a ‘Go Circular’ logo on her hull to raise awareness about the circular economy. Kévin Escoffier has also announced that he’ll be competing in The Ocean Race (crewed race around the world) in January 2023, setting sail from Alicante in Spain. A substantial programme awaits then, prior to setting off singlehanded on the Vendée Globe 2024.
The Défi Azimut will suddenly be a golden opportunity to see Holcim-PRB sailing in her new colours for the first time…
