Benjamin Dutreux (Guyot Environnement-Water Family): “We got off to a nice start, and it was great to have some boats around. I got off to a fairly average start, but it soon opened up as the boat flew along nicely with good downwind speed. The starboard tack was great. Then I had a little problem with something in the keel. I had to reverse a little to get out of the way, which meant I lost quite a bit of ground. Then, during the night, we rounded the Gautier Sergent mark off Royan, with the headsail lowered. Then, on the reaching tack towards the Hervé Laurent mark, it was a bit sporty with big wind oscillations in strength and direction. It was a bit of a grind! And this morning, we're sailing upwind towards the next mark, in contact with two-three boats. It's a race. I'm trying to find the settings for the new sails, but I'm pretty happy! The sun has just come out.
