Vincent Riou

If we had to describe him in two words, Vincent Riou would be the « great versatile » ; because this sailor knows absolutely everything: designing, developping and optimizing boats, be a (very) good weather strategist, but also a skilled technician and a fierce and talented racing sailor. A Breton Swiss Army knife, in a way !

In addition to his ten victories on the IMOCA circuit, his record reveals his versatility: from the Laser to the Solitaire du Figaro, from the First Class 8 to the oceanic multihull and Diam 24, he has done everything or almost everything. Vincent reached a pinnacle today and is now dedicated to the transfer of knowledge with skipper Sébastien Simon who is taking part to Vincent’s IMOCA project for the Vendée Globe 2020-21.
