Armel Le Cléac'h

Armel Le Cléac'h is a French professional sailor and skipper.


He was the IMOCA World Champion in 2008 and the France Champion in solo offshore racing in 2003, he also has won the Solitaire du Figaro twice (2003 and 2010) as well as the Transat AG2R in 2004 and 2010 and the English Transat in 2016. He is the first sailor to finish the Vendée Globe three time as a medal-winner  : twice second in the 2008-2009 and 2012-2013 editions, he won the eighth edition in 2016-2017 where he improved the record in 74 days, three hours, 35 minutes, 46 seconds.
